Karin Martin
Karin Martin is an enamelist, artist and teacher. She received a BA in Design at LSU. She has studied enameling with Linda Darty, Marjorie Simon and Jan Harrell. Her interests in art and design are wide ranging and she has studied a variety of media at the Penland School of Crafts, the Studio School at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, Parsons School of Design, Pratt Institute, the School of Visual Arts in New York City and Tulane University.
A former artist-in-residence at the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft, Martin recently moved her studio to Baton Rouge. She exhibits in galleries and museums from Texas to California and is published in Lark Books’ 500 Enameled Objects.
