COLD CONNECTIONS INTENSIVE

Description: This class will cover construction and use of multiple types of cold connections for joining and encasing objects -- tube and wire rivets, pre-made screws and nuts, tab settings. Some discussion of design elements and wearability will be covered, including the incorporation of found objects.

Students are encouraged to bring items they would like to join or incorporate into a piece of jewelry so that the class can benefit from discussion of different methods. Each student should take home at least 2 wearable pieces by the end of classes.

NOTE: To get the most from this class, students should already have some experience with piercing and sawing metal.
